“De fumo in flamma” is translated as:  Out of the smoke and in fire.

“De fumo in flammam” = “Out of the smoke and into the fire.”

Agent Cavinah’s correction was on the nose because I used the Ablative ending instead of the more appropriate Accusitive ending.  But it’s certainly excusable to make small mistakes while declining nouns when a troop of trigger happy Feds are leveling Service Revolvers at your cranium.
