It was 2020…while I was caretaker to my ailing father, I found this paperback book Race Riots that he had, and while he alternately dozed and watched the news, I copied these drawings from the book.  It was subtitled: An Anthology of Ethnic Insults, and since it was published in 1966, it reflects with it’s corny and stereotypical jokes the fact that folks back then weren’t as thin skined as they seem to be nowadays.

For example:  There’s a Black, a Puerto Rican and an Italian guy together in a car…whose driving?

Answer: The police.

This joke is very economical as it insults 3 groups at once, and since I am a 3/4 Italian and 1/4 African, I am allowed to tell it!
